Refund Policy

1. Terms

This refund policy (the 'Refund Policy', 'Policy') outlines your consumer right as a user (You, a “Student”) of our online campus (‘Campus’), as part of Electroneum Academy ('Academy'), operated by Electroneum Academy Ltd. (we, our, us), incorporated in England No. 11190785 and having a registered office at 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London W1W 7LT, as well as informing you about our limited 14-day guarantee. This Policy is to be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use, Campus Terms of Use, Cookie Policy, Privacy Policy and Campus Privacy Policy documents.

Please read this policy carefully. By enrolling on a course or by ordering any digital educational materials we may make available from time to time you acknowledge and accept the above policies and waive your relevant cancellation rights (see below). Please note furthermore that materials available through our Campus are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law where applicable: Please see also our general Disclaimer and Notice of Non-Afflilation.

2. Your Rights

We are required by law to follow certain rules and practices relating to online selling of services. The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013—which came into force on 13 June 2014 and implemented the European Consumer Rights Directive into UK law—is especially relevant in terms of your right to cancel. In general, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you key cancellation rights when you enter into contracts at a distance and/or online:

  • Your right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance starts when you receive the goods and lasts for 14 days
  • Your right to cancel a service made at a distance starts the moment you enter into the contract and lasts 14 days
  • If you want to download digital content within the 14 day cancellation period you must agree to waive your cancellation rights

The Consumer Contracts Regulations also contain specific provisions for digital content:

  • Retailers or providers must not supply digital content within the 14 day cancellation period, unless the consumer has given their express consent to this happening.
  • The consumer must acknowledge that once the download (or access) starts they will lose their right to cancel.
  • If a consumer doesn’t give their consent, they have to wait until the cancellation period has ended before they can download (or access) the digital content.

By enrolling on one of our courses or by ordering any digital educational materials we may sell you give express consent to access content immediately and acknowledge that your right to cancel and to any refund is automatically lost as soon as you download the purchased material or begin accessing your course (or download any of its elements).

3. Our 14-day limited guarantee

Notwithstanding the legal situation, as briefly outlined above, we have decided to offer anyone enrolling on one of our courses a limited, 14-day refund guarantee, which includes the options of a full or partial* refund.

Before you contact us to request cancellation and/or a refund, the following criteria must be met:

  1. You have watched all the lessons of the course.
  2. You have tried to address any issues/difficulties with your course tutor but the Tutor and you were unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion/resolution.

If the above criteria are met, and you are still not satisfied with your course, you can request a refund within 14 days of your enrolment by sending an email to [email protected]. Please note that we will obviously not issue refunds because you have changed your mind about wanting to do the course or are unable to allocate sufficient time to pursuing the programme to decide whether to request a refund.

Once we have considered your request we will write to you with our decision and/or issue a refund. Our decision will be final and we will not enter into any further correspondence with you about the matter.

Your enrolment on a course means that you have read and understood this Refund Policy, agree to it and accept our limited, 14-day limited guarantee. To repeat, it is offered over and above our legal obligations.

(If we agree to issue a refund, please note the following: If you paid by PayPal, you will be refunded via PayPal. If you paid by credit card, you will be refunded via the credit card processor within 7 days of us submitting a refund request via our platform provider. Any other types of payments will be refunded accordingly.)
